- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I went by ambulance to Sartori ER on Thursday August 24. I had fallen and could not stand up. The ambulance guys were super nice and helpful. I was cared for by nurses the minute I arrived and Dr Jennett saw me shortly after I arrived. I had obviously twisted my ankle, but I informed the Dr that the most pain was up the side of my calf, just below the knee. He asked if I wanted an x-ray since it was probably just a sprain, I said it hurt too bad to be just a sprain, yes I'll take the x-ray. They x-rayed my ankle. ONLY my ankle. Gave me a pain killer and sent me home saying the pain higher up was just radiating from the sprain. I had a very painful weekend. On Monday I saw Keri VanEe at Waverly Health center in orthopedics and she ordered an x-ray of my leg from the knee down. Low and behold, my fibula is broken. I knew something other than a sprain was wrong but Dr. Jennett didn't think my point of view was important enough to worry about. I felt placated and disregarded. I now have a cast and wheelchair instead of an ACE bandage and a pat on the head. Thanks to Waverly Health Center for taking care of me where Sartori would not.December 10, 2016by Priscilla Blanchard
